Missouri has definitely been a change of scenery for us, among other things. The weather is one of the strangest we've seen. One day there is snow on the ground and the next you're wearing shorts in 75 degree weather. Our winter has actually been rather mellow except for a few random storms. Out here we get a lot of warnings for flash floods, tornadoes, and ice storms. If you've never heard of an ice storm, let me try to explain. Instead of snow or rain falling from the sky, you get ice. Everything becomes frozen and it is incredibly and painfully cold outside. People have to stop their cars every so often while driving, just to scrape the new ice off their windshields to see out them because the wipers can't move. (And I thought snowstorms were bad!)
